Thanh van Do 2010-07-12	Thara Patong Beach Resort, Patong Beach The Thara Patong looks nicer in the pictures than in reality! Some places are getting old and need restauration. We are deceived about our rooms. The aircon did not work and we have to move to another room. We asked for upgrading but the staff did not seem or did not want to understand. The good location of the hotel ie. close to the beach, restaurant, etc. did help to make our stay bearable.

Breakfast spread was good and I like it that the hotel makes it a point not to repeat their spread. The front desk staff could be a little more helpful though. When I asked for some first aid stuff because my daughter had a jelly fish sting, the reception just asked me to get it from seven 11. I am sure the hotel would have some supply and some experience about jelly fish sting as it seems very common in the waters there.	easy and prompt

Lynsey Rotham 2010-05-25	Thara Patong Beach Resort, Patong Beach Great location, walking distance to Bangla and Juncylon shopping. Pools were great for our little boy. Not too busy at all. Breakfast could have had a little more selection. Reception staff were excellent, they very kindly swapped our baby cot for a single bed as he was too big. Couldn t fault the place and would happily stay here again on our next visit to Phuket.	Booking service was faultless, especially as I made a mistake and had to add 1 extra night to my booking at late notice. No problems whatsoever. Thanks

Although we tried to explain our situation to the hotel beforehand they refused to give our money back or move the reservation to a later stage. We were very disappoined as we lost a lot of money but will definitely try to make that at a later stage.
Barrington 2010-04-10	Thara Patong Beach Resort, Patong Beach Excellent hotel, friendly staff, great breakfasts. The hotel is in the perfect place 3 mins walk to beach and 5 mins to Bangla road. My 2 children 10 and 9 loved it. If it had a fault it was the rooms are a little small but us 4 managed well. Will return there again, good value for money.	Great service from web site, will reuse

The only problem is when I asked for our shower (due to poor pressure and lack of running cold water) to be fixed they came in on the last day to do it. Well I didn t need them that day. I was there for seven days and even though I asked every day they smiled and assured me someone was going to fix it right away. This did not hinder my stay at the hotel, I had a fabulous time there. We stayed in a deluxe room on the third floor (non smoking) and it was beautiful even though there was no pressure or cold water in the shower.	Fast and efficient service. No problems whatsoever.

We had two rooms booked and had the very last rooms on the top floor with no views of the pool due the trees. Other that had paid less in in prime positions this was very disappointing.

It has everything one needs to relax. 2 swimming pools, ourdoor Thai massage area, 2 pool bars and a gym and indoor spa and massage centre. Just across the road from the beach. What more can you ask for!!!!	Easy to book. Great service.

We paid superior, 3 nites get one nite free..upgraded to deluxe room. but things are very much standard, meaning that the room is clean...service is fairly good, but not extraordinary. Also breakfast is standard. Internet is expensive....(I dont know if it applies to other hotels as well). In the map, it looks that the hotel seems pretty close to the beach.....In fact the hotel plot is very long...Entrance and lobby IS NOT AS REPRESENTED IN THE SAWADEE MAP. The rear of the hotel, is a restaurant outlet, and only throught this outlet it is connected to the beach road. Dont expect to get a beach view, or sort of it..... All other things I would rate as fairly plain, but if it is just for staying ....sleeping ... some swimming...it may be good value. TWO BIG SWIMMING POOLS (We dont have the chance to use it) a good SPA is also in the hotel.

Tbe room is very clean and neat. the only thing I m disappointed is I didn t get a room with balcony. But as for the rest I m perfectly happy with it. Communication with their staffs are also quite easy. I ll book the same hotel again on my next trip to Phuket.	I have used beachsiam.com to book hotels for many times already. Each time is always improving. I m very happy with their fast service and will continue t use this website to book hotels.
Stephen Elliott Geaney 2009-08-20	Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach GREAT. It is the fourth time I have stayed at the hotel and I have never had the need to complain about anything. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly and there is a good choice of breakfast food available. Both restuarants are also superb. The proximity of the hotel to the beach and nightlife is great. Everything within walking distance and never a need to hire transport. I will be returning.	I always book through Sawadee and will continue to do so.
Karin Melsen 2009-08-16	Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach We stayed in deluxe room which was on the 3rd floor. Found it a bit tiring after a day of walking around. Rooms were good and room came with dvd player which was handy to check dvd s. Booked here because of the kids pool but both pools were great. Next time I would pick a ground floor room near pool. Superior rooms look out of the way..in between both pools. Breakfast plentiful, reception a bit out of way at back entrance but did not really need to go there. Staff friendly. Would stay again...location perfect. Dearer rooms overlooking the kids pool had access to a lift. If I had the money would book family rooms near this pool. Have 2 bedrooms separated by a lounge/sitting room with pool access.	excellent communication. Hassle free check in

Room cleaning and attention to details good. On the downside reception staff not all that friendly and WIFI/internet access charges exorbordant, poorly organised.	No problems, all went to plan and excellent prompt service.
Ahmed al-aradi 2009-07-18	Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach Hi, this is my third time in this hotel, i like it so much, The pool is fantastic with many of outdoor Jacuzzi, the location is excellent, its close to patong beach, shopping area and the night life area. The staff are normal, not bad but in same time not very helpful as you expect from Thai people. Rooms are clean, nice decoration with normal size. The only bad point i have on Thara Patong is the rate,,, they increased the rooms rate for about 30% without any upgrade of quality.	Good

The property is still an excellent value, with good location and all the facilities of a major resort. I stayed in a Superior room and the room was in decent condition. However, the bathroom tiles can use some strong cleaning of the mold buildup..	No complaints. Exellent service as always!

The buffet breakfast was good: great variety and the local selections changed daily. Also near to many other shops and eating places. The staff are friendly and welcoming. However, rooms are a bit small if you want to include an extra bed. The balcony is a bonus for that late night drink or simply for tanning. Highly recommanded if you want value for money!
Roy Barber 2009-06-10	Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach My wife and I just spent the first few weeks of June at the Thara Patong, and (overall) were thoroughly impressed. We booked into one of the cheapest rooms, anticipating that we wouldn t be in it much so we wouldn t need too swish a room just for the two of us. It was very comfy with a nice balcony overlooking the outdoor, open-air massage parlour, and had all the usual basics - bar-fridge, aircon (thank God - as it was so hot and humid!), TV with some english-speaking channels, nice shower etc. Of special note was the maid-service which was brilliant, with clean sheets and two lots of towels daily so we could take one set onto the beach and yet have a new set when we got back - excellent. Overall we were very happy with the room, say about 7/10, and the service in the hotel was as to be expected, although we were surprised at the ok standard of english for most of the staff (with the exception of reception.) It is very hard and confusing to sort anything out on the phone in Phuket! There were two lovely pools which were always very clean and warm, and each had a nice bar for refreshments and food, although the lack of breeze and the super-warm temperatures meant sunbathing was a sweaty affair! Breakfast was FANTASTIC, and the bars were good, although the restaurants seem to get expensive and not-as-tasty in the evening. We ate out most nights. Overall though, we were VERY happy with the hotel, and the close location to the beach and all the nightlife was absolutely SUPERB (you are right next to all the action, although the hotel is strangely serene and the gates are locked at night so it is safe.) Would we go back? Absolutely. What we would ask for next time though, is one of the rooms higher up - mainly the top (third) floor (high heels sound very loud from the room above!) Otherwise it was a great place and is an awesome location for exploring Patong Beach - which was pleasantly surprising - clean and full of action like jetskis, parascending, bananas, bars etc.	Sawadee was EXCELLENT - and the website was the best I have seen for phuket hotels. Highly recommended and good prices - we would use Sawadee again!!!

The staff kept on trying to tell us that the A/C are working OK. But when we said we are going to check out we were offered room no 1114,1116,1117,1118 which were good. Rest everything was perfect but they need to tell their staff to take customer complaints seriously rather than to try convincing customer forcefully.

We have got a free upgrade to the next higher room category. Good for families as the pool is nice. Good facilities with fitness center and always enough chairs at the pool (although don t know if this is case in high season). Would go there again.	perfect

Ronnie Van Veen 2009-04-18	Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach We had a wonderful time at the Thara Resort. We had a pool access room which meant the we could walk out the door and jump straight into the pool. Lovely. The only issue I had with this was the balcony/sitting area was small as we had a corner room. But that was the only issue. The bathrooms were a little tired and the drain in the shower was slow in removing waste water. The location of the resort allowed us easy access to the hustle and bustle of the main road in Patong but far enough away to not be disturbured by the noise. All shopping and restaurants were within easy walking distance. The breakfasts were very good with a great selection of foods on offer ranging from fruits and cereals to cooked Aussie full breakfasts but no vegimite :-(.	Booking on line was a breeze. Everything was as we booked and checkin/out went very smoothly. I would do that again when teh time comes to book a holiday.

A great location, close enough to the hussle and bustle, but a little bit further away from the noise. We had such a great time at the resort, all the facilities lived up to our expectations and the staff were great - both friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Special thanks to Ran and Tim at the pool bar, as well as the breakfast girls and the day spa ladies - total bliss! SHILOH DAVIES 2008-10-28	Thara Patong Beach Resort & Spa, Patong Beach This is the 2nd time i ve stayed here. This time i stayed in the standard room as last time i had a room with pool access. Everything is great with this hotel but we had some minor problems with the toilet as we had to fill it up our self to flush it each time. Breakfast is great. Pool is awsome. But keep in mind that if you want to bring back a friend you picked up at a club or bar, they will charge you 1000thb. this was the only bad part as they dont tell or say anything about this in the hotel until you show up with you friend . Staff are friendly.	Very easy.

I would 100% recommend this Hotel which is close to the main high street but only a couple of minutes away from the beach.	No issues with the booking service, in fact they put themselves out to answer all questions within a few hours. Would book through them again.

The location is very very good, very convenient. Fist time I choose the Superior Room but I feel the room is very old. This time I choose the Deluxe Room, this room so good and better than the Superior Room. It feel clean & comfortable. So I highly recommend choose the Deluxe Room.	Very good and convenient. The price is cheaper than the other travel agents.
