Martin Lofqvist 2009-12-08	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach We stayed here a whole week with our 8-months old baby. We loved the place. Very nice pool area with possibility for shade. Bungalows are very nice and cozy, but have some mosquitoes inside at night (a net for the bed is provided). Make sure you book one of the garden bungalows. The other bungalows may suffer noise from a bar just below. Excellent food, and very nice staff!	good service
Fiona longin 2009-12-06	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach gorgeous little boutique hotel, room 15 is to die for, the best views of mountain and beach/sea, staff were so friendly and really helped to make our stay an enjoyable one, special mention to Mon and Ahon and Opp for their extra special friendliness and by always putting a smile on our faces.would def reccommend & would def stay there again, the food and esp seafood bbq was the best we had in Thailand !! we were on our honeymoon and loved Ko Lanta,	no problems with sawadee booking srevice, have used them on a number of occasions before when planning our Thailand trips from Australia, much better than using travel agents !!

Olli Salonen 2009-11-03	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach The place is quite far south from the main beaches. The beach is really nice and better than the main beaches in Ko Lanta. If you rent a motorbike, that s not a problem, or if you don t need to go often to the city. They have a shuttle to the pier every day though. The rooms are a bit dark, but ok and clean. Aircon was a bit noisy. Pool and the garden surrounding the pool were really nice. Breakfast quite bad, but improved a little when the high season started. Just don t book the seaview rooms! They all are next to the restaurant and bar. There will be plenty of noise till midnight. Particularly the room number 3 was bad: the diving instructors were staying right below that bungalow and were making plenty of noise late in the night. The soundproofing of the rooms is nonexistant. The garden is so nice that you don t need the seaview, trust me.	Ok

kresten anderskouv 2009-02-27	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach This is a good hotel, and good value as well. The hotel is lovely, staff is very nice, and the restaurant is definately the best in the bay, with great views, a nice breeze, and the opportunity of sala-style seating. However, the resort is built up the steep slope of the headland, and all access to rooms requires quite a bit of steep stair climbing. Travelling with two small children, we therefore ended up staying only one rather than the intended seven nights. Staff was understanding a very helpful though. We still came back for dinner or lunch pretty much every day. Also, the resort charges high prices for the use of WiFi, which was free in all other resorts we staid in during our 8 weeks of travelling in Thailand. Overall, good resort, but not for small children.

The food in the restaurant is very good, but the waiting time to get your order is terrible, 2 hours lunch... very bad. We got married at the resort and we had expected them to do something extra that day, but nothing... Not even a flower on the bed. Except from these two things the resort is very good!	Very convenient! Highly recommended.

Hans-Peter 2009-01-17	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach Unfortunately wefound the Baan Lanta quite disappointing: The hotel is in poor maintenace; the staff doesn t seem to be very motivated and the noise from the bar of the resort next door kept us awake until 4 a.m. every night...	Booking service: Unfortunately the arrangend car failed to collect us at the airport. This was, however, sorted out within 30 minutes.
Carl Ottestam 2009-01-09	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach Excellent resort close to the fabulous Kan Tiang beach. They offered the BEST Thai food we had during our trip to Ao Nang, Lanta and Bangkok. Spicy and fresh! (Much better than on Same Same But Different which is on the same beach). Beach view bungalows are spacious and comfortable, even with an extra bed (we had # 1 and 2, which are not so close to the bar and late night music). The staff are all very nice and familiar and their own travel organizer has a solution for all your needs. There are ATM machines, a 7-11 shop and a few other facilities on the road behind the resort. Don t miss Koh Rok - a wonderful beach and snorkeling site and the sunset view from Top Bar, a 10-minute walk from Baan Lanta! The Massage is quite expensive here. Unfortunatly there was quite a lot of glass on the beach after the New Years Eve celebrations. Hopefully it s gone when you get there! We picked some every day.	Everything worked as planned. Excellent!

Good location, nice facilities, very good service level, and outstanding restaurant. Only downside is pool area which could be improved. We had a great stay and will absolutely like to return.	Perfect!
Carita Raipala 2008-12-23	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach We loved our stay at Baan Lanta, it is a very nice hotel and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The food in the resturant is delicious. It is a perfect place to relax. The only thing which was not so good is that the stairs to the bungalow are dangerous for small children since it is steep and a bit dark.	Perfect, no problems at all.
Jasmine 2008-12-22	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach This hotel was the best hotel we stayed at in Thailand, we could not fault it, the room was clean, the shower/bathroom was spotless, was cleaned everyday very nicely, the staff where ALL friendly and very helpful, breakfast was yummy too. We were sad to leave and nothing lived up to it after. all in all it was the perfect week holiday in Koh Lanta. The island is perfect to relax and take time out for yourself, there is no expectations of anything. But must say there isn t a great deal to do in Koh Lanta but thats good because if there was it would be tarnished by westerners and it wouldn t be so untouched an beautiful as it is.	Great. but was not told the breakfast was included.

Well kept, landscaped grounds Beautiful view from the beach front bungalows. Excellent food at the restaurant and a cool mellow bar right on the beach. Will definitely return.
Karin Coonee - Juon 2008-11-01	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach we had a wonderful stay at the Baan Laanta Resort. it is a small and cozy place to be. the people were very friendly and even for my 2 year daughter it was good. as they love the kids over there and i didnt have to worry about a thing. the only thing i would say is that with small childern is not that well as the stairs to go to the bungalows are dangerous and when it is raining it is very slippery. the bungalows were clean. the way to the beach is a bit rocky, but it didnt do any harm to us to go there for a walk and let the waves surround our feets. i would go there again.	very fast and totally satisfied. even the airport - hotel transfer were perfectly organised

The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend the resort to others. However, the bungalow was very dimly lit at night that made reading virtually impossible. Also the steps were dangerous at night due to the lack of lighting. Bathroom was very basic and the fittings seemed very tired .	Very efficient, no problems encountered

The staff was extremely helpful and attentive at all times. The location was perfect: away from the hustle and bustle and on a beautiful beach. Restaurant views are great and the food is delicious. Will definitely come again.	It has been perfect, quick and responsive.

Attualmente è gestito da una famiglia, in senso stretto, mussulmana che da l mpressione di essere molto approssimativa nel mandare avanti l organizzazione. il ristorante non ha nel menu il maiale e non vende alcolici(birra) che deve essere comprata e pagata separatamente al vicino bar. Il gestore dell agenzia turistica nel resort vende gite nelle isole vicine a condizioni totalmente diverse da quelle previste.In pratica da fregature gigantesce La pulizia dei bagni lascia molto a desiderare. I bungalows con vista sulla baia si affacciano più sulla cucina e sul ristorante che sulla medesima e costano più cari di quelli che si affaciano sulla piscina, decisamenete più tranquilli. Decisamente ottima invece la spiaggia sia per la sua bellezza che per la tranquillità. Tralascio di parlare, per pietà, di quella che viene definita pomposamente SPA Nel complesso il resort non vale i soldi che costa e mi spiace molto pensarlo ma tutto ciò è dovuto al fatto che l organizzazione è gestita da mussulmani	Perfetto

We really enjoyed ourselves and although this is a quite end of Koh Lanta there were excellent restaurants and bars and we never felt bored. Would love to go back soon.	Excellent - no problems at all

The resort with its a few bungalows (15) is really charming. Everything s there is well organized and clean(garden, pool, SPA). The bar on the beach is worth visiting late afternoon or in the evening. The only point is the service at the restaurant, really slow and amateur but with the smile.	Perfect service. No problem with correction in the booking.

A very quiet location - a few bars and resteraunts but great for a quiet stay. The resort has a van into town each day with a pick up a few hours later as its expensive to get a taxi from the south. The people were very welcoming and helpful... All up very nice place.	No problems
GANCARSKI Serge 2008-01-12 until 2008-01-20	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach I don t recommand this hotel. It s not clean, sometimes there is no water and we cannot have shower, often there is no hot water. The housekeeping is not good : waskbasin and toilets no clean everyday. The dust is not put off on furnitures. Toilet leaked... The room is as dark as we cannot read in the room. We were just closed the road, so there were motorcycles since 5am until 11 or 12pm. horrible hotel

Huseina Sulaimanee 2007-12-12 until 2007-12-17	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach Baan Lanta was beautiful. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only problem was that te beach was a little rocky but it did not prevent us from enjoying the beach. They bring in fresh seafood every night for a fresh barbecue. We stayed in a beach front villa and were very impressed with the room. It was by far our nicest room on our 3 week trip. The resort was expensive compared to other resorts on the island, but after seeing some of the other resorts we were glad we chose Baan Lanta. If you visit Koh Lanta Yai, we recommend this resort.	Perfect. No problems at all.

Baan Lanta has only 15 bungalows. 10 bungalows (No. 5 - No. 14) are located around the nice pool. Fortunately the Kantiang Bay is not crowded (currently there are only 5 hotels/resorts). The beach itself is okay, but there are nicer beaches in Thailand. Finally the restaurant of Baan Lanta is awesome. We have met many people from other hotels/resorts eating in the Baan Lanta restaurant. Overall we enjoyed our stay (6 nights) a lot!	Everything worked out very well.

Why Not bar fun if you fancy a few drinks also...

I would suggest to take the Seaview Bungalows rather than the Poolside Bungalows just because if you wake up and see the sea and beach its amazing. Unfortunately they are not 100% perfect when cleaning up the room and I am a very picky person but its still ok and I would definately go there again. BTW they have the best BBQ on the beach (and the best I ate in Thailand ever) Tiger Prawns and the Red Snapper - delicious!!	I was a bit concerned booking via the internet but now as everything worked out absolutely perfect, sawadee.com will be my first address to book from now on!
Amy Nelson-Bennett 2007-01-04 until 2007-01-11	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach The setting and facilities are wonderful, but do not expect great service or much in the way of attention-to-detail. Ensure you are not in rooms 3 or 2, which are gorgeous beachfront villas but adjacent to the bar which has music going to 2am and beyond each night. Highly recommended, but only for the very chilled.	Original booking good, but have yet to receive my credit for the room change (to a non-beachfront/barfront room) I had to organise when at the venue to get away from the noise of the music. Could be a communication problem between the hotel and sawadee, though.
Kathy Cannon 2006-02-07 until 2006-02-12	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach We had a wonderful holiday and our experience of Thailand was really a memorable one. Be aware that Baan Lanta is a muslim resort, no bacon! Breakfast was rather boring. We would like to raise 2 issues about Baan Lanta which really bothered us. The first was that when arriving at Baan Lanta we were not given the Bay Front room that we had paid for and was upgraded at an extra cost, but rather a seaview at the back which was dark and small, Yum (the manger) did say that we would be moving but he wasn t sure when! We stayed in the seaview room for 2 nights before we moved. This is a difference in cost which we were not reimbursed and we did not mention then. We did e-mail on our return with complaint, but we are STILL awaiting a reply which we feel is very rude. Secondly, every evening we supported the resort by eating at Baan Lanta from the barbecue which was excellent and reasonable for the wonderful seafood etc. BUT on our last night we also ate the barbecue but upon departure the next morning we were given a bill for over 1,200 bht and were charged 580 bht for a Jack fish! No fish in the world would cost us the equivalent of R120(SA). We expressed our shock to Tina but Yum was not available and we had to leave to catch our boat. Tina on reception was amazing and really helpful, so were the Bar staff.	Excellent
Olga 2006-01-29 until 2006-02-04	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach Baan Lanta is a truly lovely place, on one oft he best beaches in Lanta. Rooms are beautiful, and even though the sea view is not always visible, it simply does not matter. The only thing - rooms can really do with additional lighting by the bed - it is too dark to read when it gets dark. I loved all the people who worked there - very friendly, very accomodating and helpful. Food is great - guys really can make delicious stuff! Some people around complained about slow service and wrong orders at the restaurant - but all of my orders were precisely as I wanted them to be and scrumptuos.	many thanks for great flexibility and help with all my changes :-) Very friendly and efficient service. Fantastic.
N.E., London 2006-01-24 until 2006-01-27	Baan Laanta Resort & Spa, Koh Lanta Yai, Kantiang Beach Very overpriced for Ko Lanta, and what it offers. Finish on the room is poor (e.g. big hole under the sink where a panel should have been, sink loose(!)and no light above the sink for make up or shaving needs), and the cleaniness,cleaning and makeover of the rooms could be much better. Not a problem for us, and rewarded with fine views but need to menton lots of steps - not for the unfit or unfirm!. Front of house customer service needs to be much more welcoming and friendly. having said, Kantieng beach is fabulous.
